David Patrick

Pastor David PatrickI am deeply committed to my faith in Jesus Christ and to living a life worthy of the high call of Jesus Christ. I heard the call to ministry at a very young age and have tried to live up to what God desires for my life.

I am also deeply committed to my wife—with whom I not only share a deep, soul mate kind of love but also a commitment to ministry and service.

Our daughters Mary and Beckah are extremely important to us. We are involved in their activities—which mostly center around music, 4-H and of course church.

We enjoy being apart of the lives of our congregation and try to develop friendships in the midst of the pastoral relationship with appropriate boundaries.

The rule of our faith and life is the Holy Scripture, which speaks to our lives, our actions, our motivations and all our hopes. We believe the Bible is the authoritative word of God. We turn to it daily and preach from it without apology.

As life long United Methodists we are committed to the Church. We may not always agree with some decisions of our denomination—but we believe the United Methodist Church is a tool that God has used and will continue to use to share the message of His love and grace with the world.

The great passion of my life is to preach and to teach God’s truth and to share the message of the salvation made available through life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The passage of scripture that has spoken to my life and heart across many years, continues to be Philippians 3:12-14

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
